Growing up in a Navy family, Mike spent most of his childhood moving around the country. After attending Temple University, he headed to Los Angeles and established himself as one of the most successful writers in entertainment advertising. During that time, he also released his first book: a collection of short stories called Dead Man’s Hand. Most recently, he relocated to Portland - where he lives in a 120 year old house with his dog and cat - and published his first novel, Dreamland, to enthusiastic reviews. When not writing, Mike enjoys learning Italian, boxing and watching the Philadelphia Eagles. He is considered calm and reasonable by Philly standards.
